Justin’s Free Lambo Story:

Justin’s involvement in Free Lambo began in September of 2009.  Justin and his friend, Scott Rowe, would visit the Lamborghini dealership in Chicago, and dream of owning such a fast, powerful, and exotic car someday.  Even though they both had thriving businesses as real estate investors, they knew that it was important to use their own money to expand their number of performing assets, and not be slaves to a high car payment each month.  But, for some reason, they still really wanted the cars!

So, they started thinking of how to create a win-win situation.  They had to figure out how to stay true to their savvy fiscal ways and obtain the cars of their dreams.  And, as they say, “necessity is the mother of invention.”

Scott came up with the “invention” of Free Lambo. He knew his wife would only let him drive a Lamborghini if it didn’t cost them anything.  Because of Scott’s desire for the car, he developed a plan to get the car for free!

Remember how I mentioned that Justin and Scott both owned other businesses?  Well, Scott thought that if he could use the “Lambo” to advertise for his other business, he could make money from the car instead of paying for it.  And, being the intelligent businessman that Scott is, he didn’t want to use his own money to do it.  He did what any educated real estate investor would do in this situation… he used other people’s money to buy his Lamborghini.

Because Scott has a community of real estate investors that he hangs out with, like Justin, the money was easy to find. He pitched the idea to a few of his closest friends, and they all invested in the business together.  But what’s even more awesome, is that most of them used other people’s money to buy their share in the investment as well!  Justin was one of those investors.  He saw the amazing potential that advertising for his business with a Lamborghini could create.  But, instead of putting down his own cash, he funded his portion with private money as well.  Once he learned to invest in real estate with others’ money, he figured he could do it with anything!
